About ANYmal NZ
ANYmal NZ is the New Zealand deployment of the ANYbotics quadruped platform, supported locally by Chironix NZ. It performs autonomous inspection of infrastructure, utilities, and industrial facilities across New Zealand.
The robot is particularly valuable for inspecting New Zealand's geothermal power plants, hydroelectric dams, and remote telecommunications infrastructure where access is difficult and potentially hazardous.
With 3 hours of autonomous operation and 3.5 km/h speed, ANYmal NZ covers significant ground during each patrol, collecting visual, thermal, and acoustic data for predictive maintenance and safety monitoring.
