About Boston Dynamics Atlas
Boston Dynamics Atlas is arguably the most recognizable humanoid robot in the world, famous for its parkour, backflips, and dynamic movement capabilities that no other robot can match. Under Hyundai's ownership, Atlas has transitioned to a fully electric design.
With 50 degrees of freedom — the highest of any humanoid robot — Atlas can navigate complex environments, handle objects with precision, and recover from disturbances with remarkable agility.
While still primarily a research platform, Hyundai is developing commercial applications for Atlas in automotive manufacturing, construction, and hazardous environment operations.
