About Reachy 2
Reachy 2 is a fully open-source upper-body humanoid that has become a favourite in the research community. Its VR teleoperation system allows intuitive control through standard VR headsets, making it accessible to researchers without robotics expertise.
Built by Pollen Robotics in Bordeaux, Reachy 2's open-source design means its hardware and software are fully documented and modifiable. This has fostered a growing community of researchers and developers building on the platform.
The robot's expressive antenna 'ears' and friendly face make it approachable for human interaction studies, while its 21 DOF arms provide sufficient dexterity for manipulation research and practical tasks.
